So I've still been in my creative drought this year. Even if it weren't 2020 and all of the... do I even gotta get into it?... I've just been in this long term artistic block. But I HAD TO come up with another Sleepover, I've been doing these since 2006.

But I had no idea what I wanted to do for this one! How many different ways can I show two girls lying on their stomachs in their t-shirts and panties hanging out and eating junk food and watching movies and playing video games and smoking pot?

I thought of trying a retro version with an 80s or 90s setting. I thought of doing a Halloween-themed version since I wasn't gonna do a Halloween piece this year. Or maybe I'd give it a morning setting with them waking up. But it was still the same problem: how many ways can I show them in lying poses that give you a full view of their cute butts? ^_^

I settled on showing them more from the side, and I was gonna have one of them on a couch and the other on the floor next to her, even though I wanted to show them both in the same bed because I like to make these increasingly intimate. I figure if you've been sleeping over at a girl friend's house on a regular basis for the past 14 years and you spend the night together in your underwear, she's not your girl friend, she's your girlfriend, even if you haven't accepted that about yourself yet. ^_^

And you'll notice I DO have them in bed together in a cozy setting. As I started working with my pencil sketches and framing up everything how I wanted it, by a happy accident they came together pretty well and I realized I didn't have to put them at different heights, they could be on the same plane, so I put them in bed together after all.

I ditched a lot of the clutter that I'd normally show. Left out any TV screens or handheld devices. Just to simplify things. And I put them in a darker room this time and went for a cooler color temperature as opposed to warm ones I tried for in the past.
