Got a head start on some Christmas stuff this year, so I'm not late and don't have a total repeat of Halloween... or most holiday stuff I do. But I feel like I'm learning! I intend to do more Christmas stuff this year, but at least I have something up well in advance in case that gets derailed. That's certainly happened more than a few times.

I think this wound up being kind of a spur-of-the-moment idea. I had two other Christmas pinup ideas, but something just made me wanna take another shot at something I did back in Christmas 2016 . I always liked how the girl in that one looked, but I was never able to come up with a good background for it.

Although I guess she's gained a little weight in the last seven years. ^_^ Nah, I just figured with the pose I was doing here that really emphasizes a curvy form well, I thought that made this a good one to draw a little on the plus size. Really make that hourglass shape pop and contribute to the warm, cozy setting.

Like the one I did back in 2016, the most difficult part was getting the lights to look good. It involved playing with a lot of opacity sliders and making everything dark enough that the lights could twinkle, but not so dark that everything but the lights is imperceptible. And make all the more difficult by doing colored lights instead of clear lights like before.

I think it took me longer to do the lights than it did to draw the cute naked woman that's the main draw. That seems to happen a lot with these illustrations. But that's what makes them full illustrations instead of just quick and easy girly pictures. Or so I tell myself...
