Description Placerias hesternus was a dicynodont of the late Triassic of North America. This 3.5 meters long herbivore was one of the largest land animal of its time. Numerous remains of Placerias have been found in Wyoming and Arizona.

Actually they robably did. Both date from the Late Carnian-Early Norian of North America. Placerias is known from Wyoming and Arizona, Coelophysis from New Mexico and Arizona. The one which should have not been there in WWD is Plateosaurus who is younger in age and from Europe.

Were there any prosauropods from that time stage in North America, though?
Or was WWD having yet another attack of sloppy scholasticity?
