I have often thought of looking into getting a laptop but I had heard, long ago really, that they break easy and mess up and have all kinds of problems.

Nah, as long as you take care of them like you would with a desktop and don't drop them. But this one is top of the line for gaming, so it's my version of a sports car; if it gets scratched, I freak.

Just asking because my MacBook Pro came with a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo and it was because of the Santa Rosa platform. Do you know if your laptop has 800MHz FSB?
