this is something you don't see every day. i find it funny and sad at the same time...i just walked past them and when i realised, i turned around... got my camera out and shot it.. the old lady gave me a weird look...
i don't make it a habbit to shoot street photography.. although i find it very interesting and i respect the photographers that practice it.
maybe i will post some more myself.

Nici nu stiu ce sa zic despre asta. Am trecut prin mai multe sentimente, indignare, mila, intelegere, iar indignare... cred ca nu pot descalci tot ce se intampla aici. O poza foarte, foarte buna fiindca are atata continut.

una dintre cele mai reusite..cand te gandesti cate inglobeaza...de la conventionalism( oamenii la fel de artificiali ca manechinele- preferand sa ignore "traditia crestineasca"-crucea de la baza peretelui), saracia, nici batranica cu plasa aproape goala nu e sigura de "beneficiile" oferite pensionarilor ,comunicarea, indiferenta, ...etc...este o propunere de DD

Ok, I love it! I love what you captured here: Different things, different worlds, all in one things, a moment on the street. The old lady on the phone [makes you wonder who is she taking to?], and then right down to her legs, this poor man sitting. And the casual clothing shops at the sides. +the textures on the walls.

Asa... nu stiu ce sa zic... e o imagine din aia care ma lasa fara cuvinte si ma face sa ma gandesc mult... adica el se uita in directia opusa, babuta (ca nu pot sa ii zic "doamna") zambeste si e absolut indiferenta la ce se afla la picioarele ei! Si crucea aia langa el pare a fi exact in locul potrivit!
Poate ca intrebarea care ti-ar veni in minte ar fi: "Ce se intampla cu lumea in ziua de azi?" Dar... ironic... lucru asta l-ai auzi mai degraba din gura unei babute intr-un tramvai...

I looked at this quite a few times, taking in the wonderful contrast and tones, and also absorbing the meanings behind the picture itself.
The homeless man just sitting there, wasting away, while that lady just ignores him and goes about her business.
Also I noticed how they're placed near a clothing store, which I can't help but interpret as a fairly exensive place.
And he knows it too, by the look on his face. Knowing that what he wants and needs is so close, but so far. Cliche.

very nice...this is what i normally do back home on film..social..la un moment dat ajungi la fotografii unde comentul nu poate sa mai spuna nimic..ca aici..
