Swimming - The ranch he lived on was settled next to a massive lake, perfect for swimming and fishing. He liked taking breaks from the heat to wade in the water and catch a fish or two.
Twolegs - Twolegs were always kind to him in his kithood, and trusts them a lot more than most clan-cats.

Death - Losing his brother and mother was enough, but he always feared death. He doesn't admit it to many but he doesn't believe there really is an ancestral force watching over him judging by his luck. On the contrary, he may believe they straight out abandoned him due to his upbringing of being named under non-clan circumstances.
Being hunted - He fears the beasts bigger than he that dwell the forest.
Fire- Fire is scary to any cat, but what it did to his family and home is even more devastating.

Kithood [0-5 moons]
Sorrel and his brother Ember were born to a loner queen on a ranch, located at least a moon's journey south in the 'dry-air' countryside, as they called it.

Their mother was free to hunt for them among the fields and the horse barn. He and his brother stayed within the safety of the barn until they were around four moons before they were allowed to wander around. Sorrel took a liking to the twoleg kids who regularly visited the kittens.

Apprenticeship [6-12 moons]
Sorrel wasn't traditionally an apprentice, per clan custom. He and his brother were trained to hunt and survive by his mother. There was hardly a threat of other cats on their farm, so they lived rather peacefully.
Warrior/Medicine Cat [12-Current Age]
By about 12 moons the ranch suffered catastrophe from a bush fire that spread to the barn and house, forcing the twolegs to evacuate leaving several animals behind. Ember and Sorrel's mother were trapped in the barn to which he tried his hardest to rescue but was too late. Heartbroken, Sorrel fled from his ravaged territory, unsure where he was going in particular.

Exhausted and starving, Sorrel found himself within the mountain valleys as he traveled north and happened upon Grove territory. To stay it would be up to their leader...but can he adjust to clan life?
