But somehow, something in the proportions seems a little bit off to me...
i think Rottweiler have a little more massive head, so the muzzle is also a bit stocky/liftet...the neck seems a bit too long or the shoulders (especially the one on our right hand side) has a wrong perspective/is to small/to low. At the moment the anatomy of this dog is more like a Labrador and the underside of the muzzle is bear- like... but with the head, i don't know if your grandfather has a pretty slim rottie ^^ (i hope i explained it understandable enough because my english is not the best ;u; )
Anyway, i hope you don't mind me carping at such a high niveau X3

I can see that I could make the shoulders broader and face itself larger (especially the bulkiness of the head), but I'm not sure what you mean by the muzzle and comparing to to a bear. The top muzzle does look off, and not in length, but in how the skin pulls up too much on the top muzzle? www.google.com/search?q=rottwe… All rotties have pretty 'big' mouths with lots of flesh, but I can see where I could remove some of the lip on the bottom jaw. and lip:images2.fanpop.com/image/photo… www.ville-haguenau.fr/sites/de… As for the shoulders, the perspective isn't off as far as I know but they do look too thin and I can shorten the neck a tad. I think you're trying to compare the top of one shoulder (the shoulder blade) to the joint of the other maybe?, as the branch is covering the other joint and you won't be able to see the other shoulder blade because of the angle I have it at atm, but once I bulk it up you might be able to see a little. Instead, follow the fur colors I used (the chest pattern), if it still looks out of perspective I could be misinterpreting info.
Thanks for the crit! I'll be having this printed and sent to my grandparents as a gift, and getting extra insight like this helps make it all the better. Sometimes I don't see mistakes until someone points them out. c:

and yes, you're right with the fleshy mouth and there is only a small pice at the front of the bottom jar you could do a bit more rounder/tilt inwards.
As you can see, a bears lip is 'hanging' a bit at the front of the bottom jar , that's what i meant c;

Because the shoulders are a bit thin could have made the effect on me, that they were a bit out of perspective,i see ^^
But really, that are only small things which can be improved, the whole picture looks great!
