Description speedpaints for today, the top was roughly 45 min, the bottom about an hour.

Trying to work with blocking in than lines themselves (such as sketching a scene before you start working). Instead of doing a sketch, I have a very rough idea (or no idea at all lol) and start dapping color here and there and see what happens!

I was inspired by: [link]

The narrator/artist of the videos makes caution to not pay so much attention to the little details outright. Do your main blocking and perspective first, and make sure it's what you want, make sure it has depth and basic shadow-then the detailing should come easy. I'm still learning, but I really recommend anyone interested in speedpainting, landscaping, and general art to subscribe.

Studies... that sounds interesting. If I ever had the time I would love to do one.

Yeah, you can do studies from them (like sketches and such). You can take photos of anything and do a study, or you can do a life study and draw whatever's around you. c:

That sounds like a lot of fun! Have you taken pictures of things and then studied them?

The first one is a really nicely drawn scene. The second one, I totally love what I'm seeing. Beautiful art of a dragon there, you did really nicely with the fire.

Thanks, I used to be a big dragon junkie when I was a kid (before that it was dinosaurs). I kinda left that genre in middle school and went after the demons, anthros, and fuzzy critters.

I still like to draw them though.

Wow. I wouldn't be able to do that in 45 mins and an hour. It'd take me at least a month.
