Here is my Jack of All Trades character that I had created with artwork made by Smackwell that I had commissioned late last year in the world of Champions PNP RPG and the MMO Champions Online!

Background:
The Survivor gene is a highly rare meta gene that has been transmitted through generations to the family tree.
The origin of it is unknown, whether it stems from the supernatural or from the very genetic code that encoded the moment when superpowers were first unleashed into the universe. It is believed that this is due to a connection to the fundamental forces of magic across reality.
Only those chosen by Survivor gains its unique powers and ability to resist anything that would physically harm them in exchange for kinetic energy consumption.
The first user of Survivor was given to a soldier in World War ll in 1933, which gave him the ability to adapt through physical pain and blunt force trauma. When his spouse given birth to their daughter, who was name Ruth Samuel, she was the second user for the meta gene.
It gave her the ability to be given supersonic speed that made her appear as if time was standing still.

The Survivor was inactive until years later, when her grandson, Billy Samuel, was born in 1995.
It was inside of him waiting to be unlocked and, with the right push, caused by enough trauma to be passed on by accidentally killing his abusive brothers in his adult life.
Since then, Billy has become a superhero named Numbskull. He doesn't know why he was given these amazing abilities.
If someone is good enough to receive the Survivor gene from a blood transplant, it can be passed down to them.

The gene itself is sentient and acts as a metaphorical force in each passing moment in time.
But there were more details, as it wasn’t explained.
Johnathan Hanson, a superhero called Will of Steel, would be an African American vigilante in 1974.
The Survivor Gene granted him the ability to manipulate kinetic energy as an energy resource to regain stamina and to prevent him and future recorded users from starving afterward.

He was knowledgeable about the Survivor Gene and was able to use what he had learned before to help others.
That previously recorded user, before Billy was born, was a villain who used to be a hitman for hire at around the time Detroit was attacked by Dr. Destroyer, kick-starting the Battle for Detroit.
He would have the ability to converge pocket space-like barriers and punch them at his targets in the form of afterimages without touching them. He would go around performing kills for hired money.
Furthermore, he decided to aid the superhero community against Destroyer but ended up sacrificing himself and Survivor for someone worth the skills and abilities he had gained.
That would end up with Billy Samuel, who would later become Numbskull in the modern day.

Numbskull's Power Set:

Shield of Might:
Superhuman Strength: Numbskull possesses immense physical strength, allowing him to lift heavy objects, break through barriers, and overpower adversaries in close combat.
Enhanced Durability: His body is highly resistant to physical harm, providing a protective shield against blunt force trauma, bullets, and other forms of conventional damage.

Quicksteps:
Enhanced Sonic Speed: Numbskull can move at supersonic speeds, appearing as if time is standing still to onlookers. This ability grants him incredible agility, rapid reflexes, and the capacity to cover vast distances in the blink of an eye.

Will of Steel:
Kinetic Manipulation: Numbskull has the power to manipulate kinetic energy, both absorbing it from external sources and releasing it in controlled bursts. This ability allows him to enhance his physical movements, create energy-infused strikes, and even harness kinetic energy for defensive purposes.
Energy Reserves: Numbskull can store excess kinetic energy within his body, serving as a reserve for times of intense physical exertion or when facing opponents with energy-based attacks.

Mirage Castillo:
Pocket Space-like Force: Numbskull can generate pocket space-like barriers that mimic the properties of a force field. These barriers can be shaped and directed, allowing him to create afterimages of punches that can strike opponents without direct physical contact.
Numbskull's power set combines strength, speed, kinetic manipulation, and defensive capabilities, making him a versatile and formidable superhero. As he navigates the challenges presented by the Legacy Burden and faces the Master of None, these abilities will be crucial in overcoming both physical threats and the complex moral dilemmas that arise.
