Great job! The way the shelter of the boughs fills the entire width of the shot makes for a very strong image. It's intimate and personal instead of standoffish or lonesome like a lot of distant shots are. Also, the way all the horozontal elements divide the picture into seperate planes puts me in the mind of a Rothko painting.

It's a good clear snot and the colours are captured nicely, the contrast works well, especially the shadow under the tree. I think it's a shame the top of the tree is cut off, but I also like the fact that it reaches across each side of the photo, though it's too symmetrical, I think.
The vividness of the green and red is gorgeous, and the blackness of the shadow go well, but I can't help think what it would be like it you darkened the it, and brightened the lighter parts. I think it would make an interesting effect.
The boarder's a nice touch, usually I don't like borders because they bring the attention away from the actual picture. But this is nice and elegant, and the two colours separate it nicely.

*Gasp* This is gorgeous! This was the first picture in your gallery that really caught my eye. The colors are incredible! I love how you didn't quite capture the very top of the tree. They say you shouldn't always photograph your subject in mid center, but it really works with this one. I love the way the tree looks like it blankets the grass and the shadowing that it leaves. Beatiful!
