Description GOD OF DECOMPOSITION

Their religions come in books with titles and paper,
Charlatans at the altar with arguments that taper
Into accusations or maybe just divine euphoria,
Describing the end of our journey, our Astoria;
But my beliefs breed beneath the churches, bred
Inside their coffins where the worms bleed red,
Where the God of Decomposition holds throne,
In the deep dead dark with the flesh and the bone.
For what mightier God can there be than he?
Who wears away at what we all used to be,
He eats out our eyes and cuts out our tongue,
He eats at the neck from as mortals we were hung.
The worms are his servants and they wriggle in the heart,
They feast on the sinews and rend them apart.
The God of Decomposition is the most powerful God,
Without the grim or the innocent or the glorious façade,
His entire blessing is written in the natural law:
I eat what you were so I see what you saw.
