Description 013 (Part 6)
By: Kaede N. S.
Noriko rushed to the church. This is where all the painful memories that she had begun. And it was all because of Aizawa. He had no heart, no soul. Noriko knew that she could very well be walking into a trap. But she couldn't leave Yuuki in his clutches. Taking a deep breath, she walked towards the church.

Inside, Yuuki sat in a shat that an executioner would use. Of course, it wasn't plugged in; it was only used for holding Yuuki. She was on a platform in the middle of the room, surrounded by rows of white roses from all angles. Next to the executioner chair were instruments of torture and chemicals in tubes. Yahiko was allowed to use force, if need be.
Yahiko spoke to her from the side of the chair, "Any minute now, Noriko will rush in like a hero. You're the bait that will bring her here."
Yuuki spoke with venom in her words, "Noriko won't come for me. Not after all I've done to her."
Yahiko spoke emotionlessly again, "Noriko will come. She has remembered the bond that the two of you share."
Yuuki chuckled slightly, and Yahiko asked in the same cold tone, "What's so funny?"
Yuuki gasped out, "You have…your own free will…and yet…you don't fight back." Yuuki looked up at Yahiko with the same cruelty he had in his eyes, "Why not run away; back to your beloved Hina? Your father doesn't control you."
Yahiko spoke back, "In retrospect, he actually does."
Yuuki whispered to herself, "Pitiful, so pitiful."
Yahiko asked her, "Are you referring to yourself?"
Yuuki yelled out, "Of course I am! I destroyed the bond I shared with Noriko over nothing! I was so stupid!" Her voice hushed and she looked down, "But it's over. Noriko won't forgive me."
A voice echoed in the room, "YUUKI!" Yuuki looked up and saw Noriko panting, standing right ahead of her.
Yuuki mouthed out softly, "But…why?"
Noriko put her hand on her hip, speaking with power, "Why? I'm taking you home with me."
Yuuki shook her head, "Get away from here Noriko! Aizawa's using me as bait!"
Noriko spoke again, "It doesn't matter Yuuki. I'm going to rescue you."
Yuuki shouted out, tears running from her eyes, "I don't deserve to be saved! I stabbed Seiji! I did it for nothing! You're better off without me Noriko."
Noriko sighed and moved the hair out of her face, "I could honestly care less about what happened because of Aizawa. Seiji's life's not in danger anymore. It's over now, so let's do home Yuuki." Noriko stepped closer to get to Yuuki, but Yahiko blocked her path, "I can't let you do that."
Suddenly, Noriko ran at Yahiko with her hand outstretched, "This is for breaking Hina's heart!" She socked Yahiko in the jaw. She hit him one more time, "And that was for making Yuuki cry." Yahiko fell onto the lab table, making everything spill and fall. Noriko picked up a dull scalpel and began to cut the leather straps on the executioner chair.
Yahiko, bleeding from his face, smirked, "It's not like Hina will ever forgive me. She never loved me in the first place."
Noriko shook her head, not looking up from Yuuki's chair as he said, "Hina really did love you. I spoke to her before I left to come here. She broke down in tears because she found out that you were responsible for it all. She told me how much she loved you and wanted you." Yahiko's eyes began to widen in fear and disbelief to learn that Hina really did love him. And he'd thrown her away.
Noriko kept speaking, now that she's cut the straps on Yuuki's knees, waist and ankles, "Hina will forgive you. That's the type of person she is. But what I'm worried about more is your father. He is a very unforgiving man."
Just as Noriko freed Yuuki's left arm from the chair and was going to free her from the last strap on her right arm, Noriko heard a voice behind her, "So 013, you've decided to return to me." Noriko froze entirely, unable to move as the person spoke to her, "It appears that you've decided to follow my orders and come here for 014."
Noriko, very slowly, turned her head to face the man she feared so much, "Ai…za…wa…" Yuuki looked up at Noriko in fear, and Yahiko refused to move; he was soaked in chemicals.
Aizawa took a step closer, and Noriko clutched her forehead as Aizawa kept speaking, "You were the most loyal and most obeying of all my specimens. That's why I could never stop trying to add you back to my collection."
Yuuki shouted, "Stop it Aizawa!" Yuuki tugged her bonded arm, trying to break the strap.
Noriko suddenly froze, and she looked up at Aizawa, "But I'm stronger this time. I'm not afraid of you like I used to be. No longer…will I be your puppet!" Aizawa smirked, turned around for a moment and turned back to face them. But he held a lit match in his hand. Fire…that was what Noriko feared the absolute most. After all the burns he'd given her, nothing could be worst.
Yuuki screamed, "Stop it!" She tugged even harder on the strap. Aizawa began to walk closer and closer. Noriko couldn't move…she couldn't breathe.
Yuuki screamed once more, "STOP IT!" She tugged with all her might, freeing her arm from the strap and rushing towards Aizawa. She pushed Aizawa down, making the match fall out of his hand, igniting the roses around them.
Yuuki faced Noriko, "Noriko!" Noriko didn't respond to Yuuki. Yuuki shouted gain, "NORIKO!" Suddenly, Noriko blinked and smiled.
Noriko took a hold of Yuuki's hand, "Let's get out of here." As the two of them began running, the windows and exits began to bar themselves. Only one door remained unbarred, and that was the only way out. The two of them held hands, running for the exit. Along the way, Yuuki tripped and fell on her knees.
Noriko stopped running and turned, "Yuuki!" She ran back and knelt to Yuuki's level.
Yuuki whispered something that she'd whispered before with her eyes widened, "Don't abandon me…Noriko."
Noriko gripped Yuuki's shoulders, "Get ahold of yourself Yuuki!"
Yuuki cupped Noriko's face in her hands, begging her, "Don't abandon me again. Don't leave me…Noriko."
Noriko looked back into Yuuki's eyes, "Yuuki." Yuuki looked back into hers, "Noriko."
Noriko spoke, "Yuu-" Noriko's voice stopped, she looked up. Aizawa was behind Yuuki, in a way of déjà vu.
Aizawa ordered Noriko, "013, let go of 014." Shakily, Noriko's hands held Yuuki's hands, amid the fire, ready to drop them. But then, Noriko remembered Yuuki's childhood face, when Aizawa made her let go last time. No…not again. She gripped Yuuki's hands with all her strength, surprising both Aizawa and Yuuki.
Noriko smiled, "I'm different now. I'm not afraid anymore. Let's go Yuuki."
As the two rose to run, Aizawa yelled after them, "Wait! Huh?" Behind Noriko and Yuuki, facing Aizawa was his own son. Yahiko stood between them.
Yahiko ordered the two of them, "RUN!" The two of them nodded and escaped through the only exit.
Aizawa ordered Yahiko, "Get out of the way 001!" When Yahiko refused, Aizawa asked him, "Why?"
Yahiko looked his father in the eye, "I don't know. You always gave me orders and didn't even look at me like I was your own son. I guess…I've finally learned to live for myself. Even though I know that I'll never be forgiven." Tears ran down Yahiko's face, "This is our resting place father. This is our burial site. Just like the way you buried my mother here. We can both go and see her…together." The roof began to cave in and collapse. The fire began to consume everything in sight.

Hina was sitting by the door of the hospital. It was almost dawn and she was worried to death. She wondered if it really was a good idea to let Noriko go alone. She wondered if they were safe. She looked up into the morning fog and saw two figures walking towards her.
Hina smiled, "I knew you'd be back." Noriko and Yuuki walked towards her, both covered in ashes and reeking of smoke.
Noriko told Yuuki, "Go up and see Seiji. I think you owe him and Sora an apology."
Yuuki nodded, "I agree. But what about you Noriko?"
Noriko ran back into the fog, "I'm going to find Yahiko. He's had a change of heart, he deserves to live." Noriko ran back into the fog and dashed back towards the church.
As Yuuki was about to follow Noriko, Hina took Yuuki's arm, "Let's go Yuuki. Let's see Seiji and Sora."

Noriko ran back into the church. Some walls had almost completely collapsed. But as she ran down into the white rose basement, she could see that Yahiko was still alive…just barely. A section of the burning ceiling had fallen between Yahiko and Aizawa, and Aizawa was no longer visible. The fire had gone up so high that the walls were practically invisible. Noriko ran and grabbed Yahiko's hand. He had inhaled a lot of smoke and was an inch from fainting. But Noriko knew that if he fell asleep, he'd never wake up again.
Noriko tossed him on his back, saying to him, even if he couldn't hear her, "You're NOT going to die." But as of now, Yahiko was so close to death that he'd die if he inhaled any more smoke. Noriko ran like her own legs were on fire through the door out of the church. But she dared not stop until she got inside the hospital. Yahiko's life depended on her actions.
As she got father away, she saw the church collapse on itself. 'If Aizawa was still inside, he should have been crushed', Noriko thought. She kept running, trying not to let the smoke get the better of her either. She ran through the woods, over the hill and through the hospital doors. That's when she collapsed on the floor in the hospital lobby. Yahiko was conscious, but just barely. Noriko kept coughing from the smoke and ashes that caked her body. Hospital employees rushed to their sides in efforts to aid them.
Yahiko said with a cough, "Thank *cough* you…Noriko."
Noriko ordered him, "Live. Love. *cough*and be happy." The two of them were brought to separate emergency rooms.

Noriko hadn't inhaled too much smoke. She was fine within a few hours on the respirator. But Yahiko had gotten much worst. He was to be on the respirator for a few days. Hina sat by his side as he worked so hard to make his chest rise and fall. Seiji's condition stabilized and now Sora and Yuuki were by his side. But even so, Noriko could be happier. Everyone was alive. And now, everyone was going to be okay. They weren't going to let anyone come in between them again.
