*At Furfest (MWFF), I was at a panel called Discussions with Duck (I think ), and when we began discussing our fursonas, I had a breakdown and cried.
Axel (my dragon fursona) has a complicated history since he was created off of my emotional scars. I think trying to explain him without crying was too hard.
There was an astrologist there, and he partook, but he also wrote me an anonymous note.
It made me reflect and made me a better, happier furry-congoer, and changed my view on myself. So I wanted to post it.
Here is what he wrote me:

“Much Love,

It is wonderful to see you. A thing that might be useful to remember is that you are beautiful, whole, and perfect. I won’t pry, it’s evident that you’ve experienced a lot of pain, even rejection. But, in this struggle there is learning and growing and that this too will pass.
When we struggle to discover ourselves, to find that truth within; doors open and close, but love is there in those scary moments encouraging us to rise above them.
Let the self criticism pass. You’ll find that your journey is not an accident, there is a plan, and you’ll look back at this moment with a new clarity. The label does not matter, all journeys lead to love after ‘The Dark Night of the Soul’.
The storm will pass, the sun will rise, and the thoughts that hold you back will change like a butterfly. Caterpillars die and transform in the cocoon...but the cocoon is what you think of yourself.
Love yourself and let yourself be loved.”
