Well, Jef, it doesn't hurt to double check.In the pic: Jef, Jamie and Guy.
and horrible, horrible colors.
Made this comic to relax. Decided to submit it. I can't draw cars, or car interiors, so I just threw on the colors. Forgive my fail.
Yes - that is Guy's car, btw. 2001, BMW 323i. The year in terms of the story doesn't really matter.
My friends from the real life domain might recognize it. ^^
I love all of the scenes that I write for this story, but I especially love this one. I came up with this over a year ago, and since I finally got around to writing out this scene for the Fall, I was finally able to draw it. ^^

Holy cow!!! A Daily Deviation!!!!!! Unexpected!!!!!
I'm so happy that a lot of you guys like my comic!!!!! I've got a funny story - every fav, comment anything - I reply to it. I was in the middle of replying to all of the people who faved and commented the pic that deviantArt thinks I'm spamming and my commenting has been disabled.

Maybe I'm still up and high from watching Dane Cook all day, but I REALLY could not stop laughing when I saw that last panel.
And even if it ISN'T a light, Guy, you shouldn't have to be told to stop at a stop sign!! (Or maybe he was just casually cruising to a stop and then Jef yelled... I wouldn't know, lol.) x3

And in Fall 01, when you read the Halloween chapter, you'll see that yeah, he had already come to a stop before Jef yelled.
I had to explain that almost every single time when I got the DD for this thing, XD.

That is a very correct assumption. The driver in the front is not drunk - the passenger in the back is. That is exactly the reason the passenger in the back isn't the one who's driving, because, as I'm sure you understand - that would be stupid. If one pays attention to the story, one would find that this would also be the case.
It was never my intention to imply anything with this silly comic, and I don't think I ever implied that I deserved a DD. As a person of nineteen, I am fully aware of the implications and consequences of drunk driving as I too have seen my own friends growing up fall victim to such stupidity - that is why again, the person in the driver's seat of the car, isn't the one who's drunk. I would not have written my story or this comic in any other way, as that would have been painful for myself and I believe thousands of other people as well. I'm terribly sorry that it troubled you.

You know...I'm not sure which I find more disturbing...the fact that a comic about drunk driving managed to get a Daily Deviation...or the fact that every reply I saw for it was going on about how hysterically funny it was. Cause uh...it wasn't...at all. Now I'm sure I'll be verbally attacked by countless tweenagers telling me to "lighten up", but seriously, that's not funny...at all. Especially if you've ever had a loved one or known somebody who was the victim of a drunk driver. Then it's *REALLY* not funny. What ~would~ have made it funny? If they wound up crashing into a tree and all the drunks in the car wound up dying a horrible fiery death and then afterwards...everybody came along and paid their respects and grieved for the loss of the TREE, rather than the drunk drivers...now *THAT* would have been funny.

It was a LONG road trip. And it was dark out, so I couldn't actually tell if she was asleep or not. She could've been. She sometimes says some WEIRD things in her sleep.
Like talking about broken rope ladders rolling down hills and needing to be repaired by gnomes. XD
