This is a banging photo! Does look wider than the 18mm you usually use though? Making me all jealous I don't have waterfalls near me now

Welcome I'm considering the 10-20 in the far future. My 10-22 has had a few too many bumps, manual focus only now haha

This has such a richness to it that I just love, Addam. While the fall itself is not extremely striking, the rocks in the foreground are incredibly appealing to the senses. Their shapes are almost seductive in a way! Hope you know what I mean...not sure if I can explain it any better. Fantastic shutter speed, and I really like the darkness in the trees, which creates such a great mood and atmosphere.

wow LeeAnne..verklempt from your kind words

have to be honest and say i dont see the seductiveness in the rocks..
( might want to have that looked at..)
...am glad they are interpreted that way though!

thanks bunches

Nice perspective. I find waterfalls difficult to shoot, since I can never quite figure out which part to isolate. The whole thing never looks as grand in an image as it does in reality. Excellent choice of shutter speed to preserve the texture of the water. I myself went on a waterfall shoot this weekend, will post an image soon. Keep posting the location of these spots, one of these days I will drag myself up to northern WA for a weekend trip or two

thanks Groovy! Been trying to compose the scene so the waterfalls are almost a secondary focus..just so much beauty surrounding them but like you said, never looks as good as it does in person. eager to see some waterfall shots from you..and will keep posting the locations for you
any questions about a place..just ask away
