On Palm Sunday morning Finnish children dress up as witches and go wish people health and luck. They say a certain rhyme and give decorated pussy willows in exchange for Easter eggs and other candies.My niece Lilja ("lily") had such a lovely witch costume this year that I simply had to draw it. *v*

Hey, hey, that is one badarse and adorable costume your niece got over there. x') On the topic of the artwork itself, as usual, you got the colours right - the brighter ones are definitely put in the right place and overall they do look pleasant. This particular piece is elegant, yet simple - thus it would rightly belong to an illustrated storybook.
Let's say that Finland got an interesting way to celebrate Palm Sunday. It is way more unique than both Indonesian and Australian way, for certain. Kinda' related, but does your niece's costume come with *that* purple wig? xDalso, kittens.

In Indonesia, where I went into a Catholic school, we students were ordered to bring a palm frond to our school and then we need to bring it back home, where we'd get to keep it for a year. In case of Australia, it seems to be largely the same, however, the palm fronds are actually distributed by local churches (and some people seemed to deem that day as a day fit to do some public marches). Yeah, they both are definitely ordinary. x'D
