Wow! You know, despite the fact that she's basically an anthro character, AND her base animal is a creature I've owned several of (rat), of the cast of Final Fantasy 9, she is the hardest for me to draw! It doesn't help that the amount of clear images of her face, even 3D-renderings (which there are A LOT more of than official drawings), are so few, and that there are NO pictures of her that show her anatamy (or of any of the rat people, for that matter). So what I ended up doing, since I had no PlayStation with me to pause on her image, was just to think REALLY hard about how her polygons might come together, from memory, where her eye would be, how it would be shaped, if it were drawn...and I came up with this. It may not be the exact style that SquareEnix might draw her in, but it works for me, for now, until I develop a surefire way of drawing her.

Freya was my favorite character during the time that I wasn't too fond of the game - later on, as I started to come out of my shell and enjoy the game whole-heatedly, I developed almost an equal amount of love for every character (with a few exceptions [AMARANT IS A USELESS CHARACTER!!!]), and so I still have fond feelings for Freya, but I think in the end I really, really loved Zidane. And Garnet. And Vivi. And Steiner. And Eiko. And Beatrix. And....

By the way -- You may notice that I've been uploading some pretty non-colorful pics lately. It's simple -- I don't have time to color anymore. I don't mind the sketches, though. They look better than the things I spend hours on.
