Since it's so widespread, I'll drop some knowledge for those who might not be aware of the original source.
This is a variation of The Great Wave off Kanagawa, a famous piece from Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai's woodblock series, Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji.
