"You looked much better when your hair was longer," Kid remarked as him and Lynn walked through the empty cemetery. "It was much more symmetrical."
Lynn chuckled for a moment. "Well when you're a fighter, having long hair is one of the least useful things to have." She nudged Kid a little bit with her elbow and smiled a weak smile, but stopped when he didn't return it.
"What's up with you tonight?"
Kid let out a sigh. "The missions lately have really taken a toll on me." Lynn smiled and nudged him again as she took a seat on the right side of a headstone shaped like a cross.
"At least we aren't human, and at least we have something in common." The kishin took a deep breath and looked up to the sky. "Humans don't understand phenomena like you and me. We aren't the norm. And because of that, they think us to be 'superhuman', in the sense that we don't get tired." Lynn gestured her hand for Kid to come and sit with her, and he turned and jumped up, sitting on the other arm of the cross.
"I definitely could have put that better, but yes, that's generally the point," Kid agreed, letting out a laugh. "You need to get better at talking to me, you've jumbled your words more times than I've fixed your hair."
"And you've fixed my hair more times than I can count," Lynn joked, laughing. "Thank you for coming out here with me tonight. I love being out here, because no one comes here."
"Well, aside from us."
"... U-us?"
"Well yeah, I'm coming with you from now on."
