Dear Journal,
I woke up the bright sun shining through the window, illuminating everything with its golden touch. My father was already gone, working to improve an irrigation ditch to provide some corn fields with water more effectively, and my mother was out, cooking with the rest of the women. I slipped out from underneath the woven blanket, covered with a beautiful design, and folded it neatly. Once I had put on my cotton dress, I ran to the window of our room to take a look outside. Majestic mountains, arid deserts, intricate canyons, and flat-topped mesas in the distance were alight with the brilliant sunlight spilling across it all. Corn, bean, and squash fields that lay nearer to our adobe-built pueblo were glowing with light. Above it all lay a clear sky, filled with hope for the future. Another day had come, and it was off to a beautiful start. Pulling myself away from the breathtaking view, I opened the door and swiftly climbed down the ladder from our room on the second floor of the pueblo to the ground. I wondered what else the day would bring, whether it would be a day just like any other or if something exciting and out of the blue would happen. Although anything seemed possible at that moment, one thing was for sure- today was another day of hard work. I walked toward the corn fields, ready to grind corn into edible meal for my people. Today was a new day.

Blinking the sleepiness from my eyes, I slipped out from underneath our woven blanket and folded it neatly. Once I had put on my cotton dress, I ran to the window of our room to take a look outside. My eyes were met by a beautiful panorama and hot, dry air. Majestic mountains, arid deserts, intricate canyons, and flat-topped mesas in the distance colored with varied shades of reds, browns, and yellows were alight with brilliant sunlight spilling across it all. Fields of ever-important corn, bean, and squash that lay nearer to our adobe-built pueblo were glowing with light. Above everything lay a clear blue sky, filled with hope for the future. Another day was here, and it was off to a gorgeous start. Pulling myself away from the breathtaking view, I opened the door and swiftly climbed down the ladder from our room on the second floor of the pueblo to the warm ground. Although anything seemed possible at that moment, the fact that today would bring hard work in the usual intense heat was for certain. I walked toward the corn fields, ready to put every ounce of my strength into harvesting corn and grinding it into edible meal for my people. Today was a new day.

OH omg okay SO there's this new piano selling place opening up so for the grand opening the company is inviting a lot of cool people! So my piano teachers were invited so they asked if I could play at the opening (since other pianists are going to be there) because I bought one of their pianos almost a year ago so they could be like "lol if you buy our pianos this is how you will turn out!!!!1!!" and the experience is good for me etc. because it's like a cocktail party I guess, not like a concert when everyone's like LOOK THERE'S A KID PLAYING THE PIANO LOL so yeah haha
