A decent image of the Great Hunt has eluded me for a while now until I painted this for Pentacle Magazine's [link] back cover for the Fall/Samhain edition.9" x 13"

Wow, this is really awesome. The way your artist's comments describe it, I gather this is some sort of a mythological reference?

Indeed, It is an old British Legend- The Horned Lord and retinue ride across the skies at Hallowe'en (also called Samhain: when the veil between the worlds are thinnest). Some Myths say they gather souls, others say it is the Faery court that ride to collect strangers.

Very interesting. I'd not heard of this until now, which is surprising, considering I've been doing a lot of research into mythology as of late. From the sound of it, though, your piece definitely captures the spirit of this legend. Again, great work!
