An image I wrote into a story many years ago and I'm not sure I ever actually drew. I think it was originally a sort of minimalist Garden of Eden, in the style of Myst.

If you climbed the tree and managed to hang from the branch, you could use the apple like a joystick to move the island through the sky. Most of the distant crater rim is bare rock or thick hedge, but at one spot there is a door - locked, of course, but if you fit the bridge into the slot underneath the door, the apple would come off in your hand. And in the core of the apple is a seed in the shape of a key.
