Description
Needed a subject to use to continue to expierment with shading, and since I haven't done any Inuyasha fanart in ages, I decided to doodle up a little Kirara. I actually kind of like this, but it's a pretty painstaking process compared to my usual lazy style.Done on Adobe Photoshop CS. Clocked at 4-5 hours.

I didn't notice this on my first posting, but what really gives this picture its power is her eyes. In my opinion, these make or break images like these. They say everything about Kirara. Words truly do not describe their perfection.

I agree, especially in Kirara images; her eyes are so unique, and considering her otherwise simple design, her eyes lend a lot to her expressions and emotions. I think they're what drew me to her as a character in the first place; Takahashi has a way of making her cute little supplementary characters special. X3

Because of what she is; a little supplementary character. She pretty much exists to transport Sango around and to look cute with Shippo. XD Besides, in all of Takahashi's works, the animals are downplayed (in my opinion, because she can't draw them as well as her human characters, so she avoids them except as cute accents). Like in Ranma. A hugely important part of the plot, but they still rarely appeared, oddly enough.
But that's just my view on it. >>;

I'd say she's the most important member of the group. I made my final speech in college about her. Truthfully, I could have ranted fpr twice as long as I did (about 5 minutes) about her importance in the group. Aside from that, she's adorable, big or small.
