GUH. I'm so pissed. I saved over the full-sized file of this on accident. e_e I loooost iiiiiit. *sobs*Anyway.
A new character of mine, Caelem. This isn't his normal form; he's usually a...half bird, half human dude. But I really needed practice with birds so I could get his humanish character right, since in human form he still has full-sized wings and lots of feathers, so I decided to draw him as if he were a full raven to get into feather-mode. =3
You'll be seeing a full character sheet for his human-ish form in the next few days; it's taking me quite a while to finish it. x___x;
Done on Adobe Photoshop CS. Clocked at 6-7 hours.

Final-fuckin-ly! No, its got....not that much to do with you, but, see, it seems EVERYONE has trouble with bird anatomy, but when it comes to coloring a raven wing, NO ONE has trouble with "anime shading" -.- Can't find one-damn tutorial on putting shines on wings (Yes, I'm that kind of slow person) You don't relize how much of a big help this is going to be for me. I can finally finish this one pic, and it's all YOUR fault. Thanks, big grins, tail high, friendly purrs! Awesome!

Tis cool. This is kind of random, but did you know that "caelum" (yeah, yeah I know it's an e, not a u) meant sky in Latin when you gave the character his name?

I like this style. I think you should use it when drawing me gift art. Muaha.
And I like how the wings fade from warm to cool. It's subtle, but noticeable and it really adds to the image.
