Thanks to all of you watchers who voted on White Crow's name and helped me decide!
Snow Spring was a close second, but I figured it was too feminine for his character. (Since, no, this is not going to be horse yaoi. Sorry, Nori; I know you're disappointed. XD )The main characters from a short web comic I've been conceptualizing over for a little bit; I plan on making it for practice before I launch into final production for my larger project I have in mind, Taboo.
It's gonna be pretty simple, and pretty short. Dallas is a wrangler's horse, and his owner is trying to catch a herd of feral mustangs for sale at market. White Crow is sort of a head-stallion-in-training for said herd, and when his sire fails to help the herd escape the wranglers, he takes it upon himself to resist their captors--even if it means breaking out the psychological warfare on the wranglers' horses.
Lineart and colouring is simple because this is how it'll appear in the comic, pretty much. :\

Their individual personalities are so strong, here. Dallas looks really mellow and Crow is... well, he reminds me of an unruly teenager who is able to be responsible when Mom and Dad aren't around.

Nylak to help find out where he came from look up some of the registered cattle ranches in your state/country. Also you can look up ranches by breed of cow, when you find the ranch you can find their brand, since most will have it posted some place.

No, but the combination of the simplistic lineart and the plot does bring it to mind, doesn't it? XD I guess this'll be a really violent version of Spirit, only sans romance and hopefully a little more realistic.

Great picture. The only thing I can say is that White Crow's anatomy in the top picture is a little ... off. His legs look too long, or his torso too short, or something. Other than that ... it's all perfect! Man, I wish I had lineart/coloring like this on my webcomic!

Very awsome...I'm just wondering why a Quarter horse and a mustang are only 5 hh? Do you mean 15. Anyway...the coloring is great! I love it! And i love White Crow, he's gorgous. I had a mustang...two actually. Ah, gotta love the crazy ones.

Yeah, it was a typo that I'm chalking up to sleep deprivation. XD And yeah; mustangs amuse me like whoa. We had one that we got at a livestock auction for $80, just because we felt bad for him; he turned out to be 21 years old and never handled in his life. I tried to ride him, and he galloped backwards. It was an experience. X3!

I have to echo this comment. Are you sure about 5.00 hh?? o_O; According to this site ([link] ), miniature horses are between 4.2 and 6, and 14.2 is the typical size for mustangs.
I love the simple coloring, and the story sounds interesting. I can't wait to see this comic. ^^

We've actually got a horse up at the farm with that brand--though his is a fire brand rather than a freeze brand. It amused me a lot. I have no idea where he came from, but I really want to know. XD
