I am a nobody in a sea of creative genius, i will probably never be famous or well known. and i struggle with my own mental health that makes me often distant from other people. i have won and lost many battles with myself over the years and that has taken its toll on my friendships.

i am flawed, i am cracked, abnormal, i don't fit society's model of what it is to be human. i don't think like they do, i don't see as they do, i don't speak as they do. and because of this i must be fixed, i must be contained and controlled.

don't get me wrong in some aspects they are absolutely correct, but where is the line, when does learning to cope turn into conversion. how far must i be changed before they are comfortable with who i am. how much do I have to conform before it becomes mental slavery.

you might be feeling this too, and even though i am nobody, even though this message may only reach a handful of people. if you find this place I'll leave the light on for you, make yourself at home. because my struggles are your struggles, my pain is your pain. you are welcome here, this is your home, this is my home, this is our home. and i hope that i can take your mind off the struggles of life for a little while. and if not that at least shine a giant spot light onto it, so big that it cannot be ignored by those unwilling to acknowledge us.
