Description
it's a dark rainy night, our protagonist wakes up in a startle from a nightmare and a rogue bolt of lightning, thinking hard about the bad dream they just had, our protagonist reaches over for a match laying on the bedside table and uses it to light a candle sitting off to the side then, slips out of bed walking over too the rickety old wardrobe sitting across from the bed, grabbing some warm clothes to put on they make their way to the bedside table picking up the candle and heading off towards the bedroom door. reaching out to open the door and hastily making their way into the hallway careful not to drop the candle in their hand, they soon descend the hardwood stairs which creek under the weight of each step, lightning flashes and thunder roars as rain drops tap the windows of the house a storm was brewing outside, we find our protagonist at the bottom of the stair finally. heading towards the front door that flys open with a sudden gust of wind as it was opened, our startled protagonist makes their way out into the night struggling to close the door behind them, meanwhile the rain and wind quickly put out the candle held in their hand, but as they finally get the door shut our protagonist sets the candle onto a rocking chart and picks up a lantern hanging beside the door, taking the time to light it before making their way over to metal shed where an old model A vehicle sits, a dull green color with paint chipping off the hood our protagonist starts up the Oldsmobile before climbing into the driver's seat and heading out to the oracle's tent.
