Beutiful image. My favorite part is the sky. The clouds are in such interesting patterns and the colors work well together.
The water in the middle of the pic seems odd. I think the percpective is off a bit. The water looks like its going to fall onto her.
If this really digital? If so what brushes did you use? Your style is very unique. The background is looks like it was painted!

Thank you for the comment. I tried to capture the color pattern of the sky in the evening at the beach just before or after a storm. The middle is a small back wash pool of water, I used a reference picture for the beach scene and the pool looked almost glass like in the original.
I use a wacom tablet with Paint Shop 5.0 and the brush is the airbrush set at precise. For small details and small areas I use a smaller airbrush 2 to 5 pixels wide. For the larger areas I use larger brushes in sweeping motions and vary the pressure and opacities from 50% to 100% depending on the depth of the color I need added with each layer I use. I then just flatten the image to preserve the effect of each layer. Hope that made sense, ehhe.
Yes, I have been told I have a rather unusual and strange style, I developed it many years ago during the '70s doing "Black light" posters and painting in acrylic paints. Thanks again for the imput.

Thank you again. I'm sure if you keep at it and keep experimenting you'll soon enough develop your own style. When we experiment and try out new styles and techniques even if we don't decide to ever continue using it, we learn from the experience and with the learning it changes our viewpoints, way of perceiving art plus gives new skills and better effects in our art work.

I envy your skill when it comes to making hair since I'm so incredibly bad at it. actually, would you like to give an advice how to improve my skills in that particular area?
hope to hear from you, hun. :hugs:

Well, dear, hair was something that gave me spaz attacks in the past but my beloved Nick Graves showed me how to improve my hair. This is how I do it. I start by taking the darkest color of the hair and working it in with a small brush each hair at a time. Then I go back with smaller tipped brushes and add in the highlights where they are needed. Using a very fine line brush for the tips and the wispy loose tips of the hair is best. Hope this helps you some. Basically it just takes lots of practice with different brushes and letting the brush flow smoothly and not forcing it as much as you would when doing other contours.
