Description
This photo was taken while we were leaving from our shoot and I had taken off my heels to slip on flats for the trek back to the hotel. Despite our backpack and random congoers being in the photo, we thought it was a pretty cool shot of us lol:: DISCLAIMER ::
We are not zombie Sailor Scouts, we are battle damaged Sailor Scouts! The concept of this shoot was inspired by the fight scenes in DBZ, the photographer wanted a more badass side to the scouts that was never seen in the show. The audience always saw them fighting and getting the shit beaten out of them by enemies but they never (or rarely) animated blood, just a few scratches! While some of the blood may be a bit over dramatic, like on Sailor Moon's face, it was still a fun shoot and a sort of test run for a more involved shoot to come in the near future.
We are aware there can be more battle damage on the costumes, we were literally presented with the idea for this shoot by a photographer friend while walking around the con that day. Therefore, we had very little time to prepare and limited supplies to work with and we weren't exactly sure just how much we wanted to destroy said costumes at the time.
I did the makeup for myself as well as for *Pandlers :3

I like ideal, but I think cosplay too clean for battle damaged. Looks like Sailor Jupiter hit Sailor Moon in mouth before this photo was taken. If you want look battle damaged then you need to destroy the uniforms a bit and maybe hair could be little messy. On body you need bruise and cuts, but be careful not go over. May help if you re-watch the unedited/uncut clips of where Sailor Moon is battle damage. Take notes on how girl look. Adding blood good ideal, but too much can give impression that sailor scout is cannibalism or zombie. You may want look up battle damage tutorial too. Good luck and keep cosplaying.

Well, we were presented with the idea at the con and had little time to prepare and weren't quite sure how much we wanted to destroy the suits at that time. I've done battle damage costumes before, but given that I had an hour and a limited amount of makeup supplies provided to me I think I did a decent job with what I had to work with. Plus, I stated in the artist comment that the blood was over dramatized and could of been toned down on Sailor Moon (myself). This was just the first round to test things out, which is why there were only two scouts. And there are bruises and cuts on the scouts, Sailor Moon's nose is broken and bruised and Jupiter has a black eye and a cut cheek. Our photographer who came up to us with the idea just wanted to do a quick test run and wants to do more with this shoot/concept in the near future so we can improve it and have more time to prepare and involve more scouts and possibly a few villains as well.

I'd like to see more realistic battle-worn Scouts. This is an awesome idea, and you all did an excellent job.
