Indeed this shot and that expression shows a lot of attitude. Holding the camera that takes the shot creates a bit of empowerment too. The pose looks proper, but a bit timid. It's a nice contrast to the empowerment shown by your arm.
Don't worry; the plants will pull through.

Right now my favorite is my licorice basil. My sister gave bought it for me at a flea market and it's turned into this giant wonderfully awesome looking, smelling, tasting basil plant. About time to divide and invade some flower boxes.
