Voila! Meet Kaige! I have been working on this picture bit by bit for a couple of months, but once the colouring I've only done in two sittings.
I'm really really really happy about this picture, and he happens to be one of my favourites of my OCs. Love him. He's great. You'll see him later on in my comic, Shadow Puppet. (but not for awhile yet, sorry.)
Kaige is super badass and awesome, but he's pretty lazy and overly laid-back.

Of your older pieces (and for that matter you newer pieces) I have to admit that I believe this one is my favorite piece of 2011. It's just really well done, from the fun and dynamic pose to the interesting character design and the amount of detail you put into his outfit and accessories everything about this picture is just lovely. I particularly like his shirt. That's a neat motif.
The coloring here was also very impressive. You put a lot of texture and shading into this, and to me it imparts an almost marker feeling. It's organic and truly compliments your line work. The rain and lightning bolt both look good, and adds a lot of dynamic energy to the painting.
Anyway, wonderful work and this is still an impressive showcasing of your skill as an artist.

The dragon was just for you! 8D ....No, it wasn't, I'm sorry. OTL Rain and Dragons are just kind of his overlying theme. But I'm glad you enjoy that.

Yeah, I'll do that. I have a piece of paper full of designs on both sides right now, but some of them are more dramatic. More costume than fashion. I also have tons more sketches lying around, so I should definitely scan those. Possibly tomorrow.

My ideas are all in my head, and they'll have to go into words for you to draw, since, as you well know, I can scarcely trace my hand. Busy, busy, busy... Getting a wisdom tooth pulled, then driving all over Hell (a.k.a. Reno) and back for a 5-minute dentist appointment so that they can tell me how to use a syringe to clean the hole until it heals was fuuun... -.-

-hugs back- Aww, you're so sweet...The pain is no big deal, though, really. Komo snickered as he said that he bets that I can't wait to get back to eating meat. He had forgotten the fact that I'm tough as nails. My headaches seriously hurt WAY more than getting one little wisdom toooth removed.

the ONLY thing i think i can suggest with this, is to try and do the lineart in SAI next time instead of inking it on paper ( or in photoshop, which ever you did ). Just because in SAI, lineart is so incredibly easy, and it'll give you really thin, clean straight lines. That, and maybe add some deeper shading if you wanted ( like darker and lighter shades besides just the two tone) but thats not really a must with this i think. over all, as i said in the comments, i really really like this one. You did an awesome job >w<

I don't actually have Sai, and I haven't gotten used to my tablet yet, so I couldn't do something like this that way. (the only part of this that I did on the tablet was the lightning. >> )

oh defiantly look in to it. It's only 60 bucks - has a 30 day trial period, and i couldnt believe how easy the lineart was to make with it. After all these years of teachers making me use the freakin PEN TOOL on photoshop, sai's lineart way was a great relief. *being a sainerd*

thats the kind of stuff that goes through my head on a daily basis.
But this is really awesome. I love the pose and the anatomy is like perfect, and you even did something really interesting with the cloud tool! That impresses me, cuz i've always thought of the cloud tool as like this basic "only kiddies use that tool" kinda thing, but you made it look really awesome! It's to show the wet spots from the rain, right???? or it could totally be taken that way owo I also love the headphones and just all the detail you put in to this. <3333
