Description My Oc Kael-Sin
Tried the automatic colouring technique and I gotta say I really like it! Of course I had to do some refining and overpainted a few things, but I love how it came out.
Also changed my way of linearting things to match it's style and get like a modern and soft approach of traditional japanese art.

Oc and art belong to me

I use CSP too! I’ve heard about it as a new feature or something, I have yet to play around with it myself...someone showed on YouTube and people were complaining about it being “cheating” honestly it depends how and what you use it for....people are so quick to judge and complain I swear...

I think it’s ideal for webtoon artists because those take a crap ton of time, that feature would help things go a bit faster—plus clip studio is also a program made for comic artists it’s packed with tools and content for them...so it makes sense.

It’s also probably a quickie way to test out palettes/colors on a piece 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, I saw a video about it as well! And well, it does save time, but I don't think it's cheating. It's obvious if you paint it with that tool and you can't compare it to a real painting. But that's not the point of it, it's there to save time and still have a good-looking colored illustration.

I think so too! It's ideal for them and as you said... CSP is for comic and manga artist, this is just another tool for them.
It's not like it can do the whole drawing for you, it's just a tool. It only get's good if someone can master it. Besides, a few years ago everyone said digital painting was cheating as well.

That I disagree with xD
It really washes down your colours, in order to blend everything together. So really contrast-rich palettes would probably look like shit if you use autocoloring xD
But I want to try a bit more with it, seeing what it can do xD

Yeah exactly!! People are just...oy sometimes

But totally agreed! And yeah ikr? But digital is Also meant to have shortcuts..why else have tools?? There’s things about digital that regardless...make certain things more convenient...like using layers and being able to edit those individual parts if you realize you made a mistake and so on!

 Yeah I would imagine so!:0

sadly...

Right?? Tools are just tools, they can make it easier but they can't replace the artist.

It's a rather new feature of Clip Studio, which pretty much colours the whole drawing for you. You just have to lay the basecolours.
But the technique is far from perfect, I had a lot to correct, but it's really fast and I also like the toned down colors~
