LE GASP-- I DO HAVE LEGS. TAKETHATSANITY

My profile for the which everyone needs to get into 'cuz it has zombies and it's more of a self-insert contest than an original character thing and it should be FUN!

Now, I'll try to fill this thing with relevant/useful information
-----

Name: Anj
Age: 20 21 by the time of this OCT
Profession: Part time student, Self-proclaimed cartoon artist, waitress

Preparation for the Post-Apocalypse
- Strong legs from walking just about everywhere and keeping in shape -- certainly not a body builder, but long distances and endurance aren’t an issue
-Resourceful and creative -- (I feel cocky writing this one, so bare with me) I know how to use what I’ve got to the best of my advantage.
- Climber from an early age, I enjoy moving up and over things in my way and I'm extremely sure footed.
- Has read, played, and watched various mediums with zombies in them. There will be no beginning-of-the-movie-confusion on this end when I seem shambling bodies coming toward me.
- I’ve read the Anarchist’s Cookbook--while most of it is somewhat outdated, there are some useful things in a post-apocalyptic setting
- Can drive a boat and automatic cars
- I'd say I can whip up impromptu-meals out of what I've got, but in this setting this isn't much of an issue since I'm sure there's enough food lying around in houses and stores in the area.
- Has learned some basic medical aid, but nothing beyond proper care for treating cuts/gashes/etc
- Has done enough yard work that chainsaws are indeed a formidable weapon in my hands
- I’m a water baby in that I’ve been swimming nearly all my life. There will be no drowning.

Potential Problems in the Post-Apocalypse
- Weighs in at about 109 lbs at 5’3” -- while there is some muscle, heavy lifting will be an issue
- I have never fired a gun
- Slight fear of extreme heights (ironic with the climbing thing, huh?)
- Somewhat squeamish (again, ironic) -- blood, cuts, sprains aren’t an issue, but things broken at unusual angles and flesh eating will take some getting used to.
- Cannot drive a shift
- I’m terrible at following maps or remembering directions and tend to wing it when I get lost
- I dislike the cold, but so long as I keep my upper body warm, I’m OK
- I don’t know any formal close-hand-to-hand combat/fighting styles/etc
- Despite being mostly ambidextrous, I rely heavily on my left arm due to a childhood injury on my right
- I like food. A lot. I dislike going without it.
- I've never been camping so if a real apocalypse does ever happen, it'll be a learning experience.

Things to Keep in Mind when Writing 'Me'
(I added this because it's hard enough writing someone else's characters sometimes, nevermind writing an actual person. So I'll try to some simplify core traits to keep in mind.)

Since so many people are playing team ups and what not, I've decided I'd rather play the jerk of the apocalypse. Because they all need at least one. If you guys wanna play me off as 'that bitch' go right ahead. (but I do ask you don't make me the catty type you see on most zombie flicks.)

I'm very much a Scorpio personality in that I'm full of contradictions. I'm bossy and like to have control of my surroundings. At the first sign of submission, I will take the lead, but tend to back off if I know someone else knows better--because that means less work for me.

I like knowing what's going on at all times, but the other side of the coin is that I dislike letting other people read what I'm thinking and tend to keep what I know to myself. If I think there is a way I can get ahead of someone, very rarely will I share what I know.

While I don't have many friends, the few I do have I hold very close and dear and will do just about anything for them. (People like ~Res-Gestae and ~Aaron-Smiley ) I like people who are openly trusting, but at first will be very wary they have ulterior motives. I'm very blunt and sarcastic to begin with, but my temper is short when it comes to people who work against me (aka are as stubborn as I am/don't do what I tell them).

I am the person who will drop you like a rock and leave you for zombie bait if I think you're slowing me down, but will go back for friends.

I'm that jerk.

Other odd things
- I once got locked out of my apartment on the second floor and ended up scaling the outside patios to get to my own deck to see if I could get in that way. Horrible idea, but nothing bad happened other than finding the patio door locked as well and having to wait outside till someone came home. I'm crazy stubborn and persistent like that.

- On the other hand, it takes me forever to do something if something of mine (pride, friends, life, money) isn't on the line.

- ~Res-Gestae is right, we’re so in-sync most times it’s almost scary.

- I lie easily--terrible thing to admit--but I do feel bad when people believe me. Well..... sometimes.

- I'm the type to play dumb, even when I know what I'm doing.

- I always make sure my doors are locked before I go to bed and keep a baseball bat within reach. This is part paranoia and part caution.

- I don't trust easily. I have a habit of automatically sizing people up when I meet them, though I've been trying to curb this automatic reaction.

- Depending on whether or not I like you/how good a friends we are determines how blunt I'll be with you. I'm brutally honest with close friends and people I hate, but I'll only pull punches for the former.

- I’m pessimistic because I'm okay with being proven either right or being proven wrong by a favorable outcome. Either is a pleasant surprise.

- I’m a strategist in that I like to have a plan about where I’m going. The journey can change but I prefer having a destination in mind. This falls in with me getting lost quite a bit, but so long as I make it where I wanna be, I don't mind.

- When I'm nervous I tend to talk, either to fill the silence or keep myself company.

do you have a story you're writing with this?

This was for an OCT that eventually flopped, but it produced two entertaining comics between ~Res-Gestae and myself.

I've decided that you would look awesome with dreadlocks.

cause you where your gangster headband, and I went to highschool with a girl that had similar facial structure as you and she had dreads that looked really awesome. Plus it would make you look all post-apocalypticy!

I'm afraid my hair just wouldn't take to the dread style. I had a roomie at a program I went to years ago and while she didn't look bad in dreads, her hair didn't really cooperate.

A major downside is that I'd have to lop it all off if I got tired of them. :C I've been growing out my hair forever to get it to this length again.

aah oh well, you could always get one of those rasta hats with the fake dreads attached!

Oh, hey, I recognize her from somewhere. (a long time ago ._.)

Looks pretty accurate, good job on it.
Watch out for that hoodie and long hair though, zombies are grabby, and that could pose a safety issue.
Wait, but so if you were to change your style in order to update your character, in order to be better suited for the zombie apocalypse, is that cheating? I mean, it isn't any more so than watching a lot of zombie movies or playing a lot of zombie games, right?

I fought with myself about adding the hoodie or not, but in the end I almost always have a hoodie on me (just in case) so it wouldn't be that far fetched.

And come a REAL zombie invasion, scissors will be getting to know my hair quite well. LOL

I get what you mean about the changing the style part, but what now about watching zombie movies and playing games? You think that's fourth-walling it?

GOOD AND BAD? I MIGHT CALL YOU MOMMY IF WE ARE PAIRED AS OPPONENTS. I am so gonna end up following every one in order to survive this thing.

THINGS MIGHT GET A TOUCH AWKWARD, BUT EXPECT ME TO BOSS YOU AROUND AND MAKE YOU GET ME STUFF IF YOU DO.

THOUGH I FIND IT EVEN FUNNIER YOU'RE TALLER THAN I AM

Technically you can survive so long as your faster than the slowest person or you're good at hide and seek.

I'LL PROBABLY END UP DOING A LOT OF THOSE THINGS FOR YOU. After I hear your instructions for the millionth time. I suck and verbally understanding things D:

I knaw right? Though I'm taller than my real mom too. And probably everyone else I've called mommy.... Except for Kolton. But he doesn't count...

Well I guess I'll survive as long as don't get out of breath and really loud. o:

Awww, it's okay. Maybe those listening skills will improve when a fire's lit under your butt aka the zombies pose a real threat? They say some folks can work really well under stress. :U

Oh man, you should try and work Kolton in in the background! Not a real canon part of the story, but it'd be funny to see him either as a zombie or fighting them somewhere.

Maybe so. Only time will tell. XD

I will attempt that. It'd be fun.
