Description So this started out with an experiment in some techniques that I learned this week and a little something I have tried in the past. So what you have here is:

2 Images: 1 Color, 1 Black and White.
I increased the sharpness of the Black and White one and Softened the Colored one, then took the colored version and layered it over the Black and White one and set the Blend Mode to Overly. Merged them together and reduced the noise that was left.

And this is what I got.

Please let me know what you think.

Its A Great Camera! I Upgraded from the D60 to the D90 and im very happy i did. i loved the D60 as well. D90 just feels so much better and the Kit lens is worth it all by it self..

I can imagine^^

What's the best improvement by your reckoning?

1. The Kit Lens... Larger Lens, wider angle
2. Better controls, easier to change shot and faster
3. Feel of it in your hand and placement of controls
4. Built in motors: For older lens and Cheaper Lens

And it just SHOOTS GREAT!

Thanks^^
Oh yeah, motors are a MUST HAVE for me, the D50 was the last "low" budget camera with them^^

I'm saving for it

Good Call.. just look for the Body.. save your self about 3 or 4 hundred bucks if you already have good lens.

Very True! that's why i did it.. as well as not having to take so many lens with me on each shoot. but i found i like my other lens i didn't think i was going to need better now that i have the Motors built in so i still take all 7 of them with me! lol damn my bag is heavy these days!

Woah! that looks so fantastic it's unbelievable! haha, i seriously need to look into some skills in photo editing so i could try that. i don't even have editing software. lol. That is simply amazing though! ^_^

I enjoy it. I don't know if I like Shooting photos or editing them better. But the really great ones just shoot and post. If you want to start editing there is some really good free software out there. Most popular is GIMP and it works really well. And there are a lot of Tutorials here on DA on how to do stuff with it. Give it a shot...
