"In the Year 978 RR, the Separatist Crisis came to a violent end at the First Battle Of Geonosis when a Jedi Strike team violated Geonosian territorial integrity after two Jedi and a Galactic Senator had trespassed on the planet and the Clone Army made its first appearance. Despite the seemingly major Galactic Republic victory, however, a majority of the Droid Army that had remained plant side were still active, and the Republic's grip on the planet was faulty at best. Geonosian rebellions quickly flared up as the Hives began to attack the Clone garrison. The Grand Army Of The Republic would continue to send newly trained Clones from Kamino to help secure the planet, but by late 978, Republic control over the planet was slipping. Many roaming bands of battle-droid companies, leftover from the first battle or built from new factories, would wander the surface, while the Geonosians would conduct raids from their hives and tunnels. This near anarchy on Geonosis would lead the Republic to semi-abandon the planet, and soon enough, Poggle The Lesser and the Confederacy once again establish massive factories on the planet, which eventually lead to the Second Battle Of Geonosis when the Third Army Systems arrived to quash the uprising.

A B1 Battle-droid company, led by OOM-901, supported by a Q-series Droideka, encounters a Clone trooper garrison, resulting in a firefight. Dated at 978, 9 to 10 months after the First Battle Of Geonosis."
