The structure was collapsing around them, threatening to trap them inside. Naruto whipped his head in his teammates direction; Kakashi was leading Sakura to safety as Sai followed behind them, ushering for Naruto to do the same.

But there was another and Naruto squinted as he continued his search. His eyes landed on the raven; Sasuke's body already engulfed half way into the black mess that their most recent enemy left behind. It was going to swallow him whole.

The blonde ran to Sasuke, grabbing onto a railing behind him before reaching into the pit and tangling his arm around Sasuke's.

"Are you insane?! Do you want to be engulfed, too?!" the raven shouted at him, his expression livid and worried, if the blonde was correct.

"I won't leave you!" Naruto responded desperately. "Not after coming this far!"

Probably not the most original drawing in the world, but I had sudden inspiration while stretching today lol.

I had a lot of fun drawing this, but I'm not so keen with the background. I'm not very good with backgrounds as of yet, but I'll get there. Patience = P
