Description Not the kind of photography my professor approved of, but this is *deviant*Art is it not

Apparently I have this thing for shooting mechanical and otherwise technical things up close, there's something about the intricacy of the engineering that went into their design and manufacture that provides me with constant inspiration and awe.

This is a piece of a jet engine (Viper MK.II, if I remember correctly) displayed at the faculty of civil engineering and shipbuilding in Zagreb

Fuji sensia 100 slides, with the Canon EOS 50e (thank you ) and only having this wonderful depth of field thanks to a f/1.4 lens (thanks )

Film. Cheapest positive film on a bright sunny day, in the shade.   Professor absolutely hated this

Pfff yes, because proffesor "knows better" who care! I always respect experienced people but sometimes their opinion depends to taste, isn't it? For someone all photos have to be made in atelier or with different types of softbox and etc.... and for other... not always! depends to conception <3 this is what I love in designing the most! Everyone can say about the project what they like but the most important is to have fun - sometimes to be correct to graphic rules and etc.... is just boring <3 I see idea on this photo and thats why I love it <3

Our photography professor thankfully had a very strict rule set by which he judged our works, for the most part.
The photographs were supposed to be properly composed, properly focused, and properly exposed. Anything
beyond that was a plus and if one of those things was omitted, but the photo 'worked', it was also good.

We had several assignments/motives which we shot during the entire semester, bringing new iterations each week,
which was a great way to learn. Couldn't possibly remember what I tried to pass this off as But I liked it, and he didn't,
so it ended up here.

I'm very happy somebody else can see *something* in it though!

Lack of a clear motif, I'd say. The task I probably tried to push it under was a 'known object'.
Shooting a **** knows what on a jet engine is probably only 'known' to the person who designed and assembled it

Well, !
