I get that feeling sometimes when younger people and kids start talking.
At times I go like "what is that?" and them go like "nothing old fart!"
With these emoticon things I sometimes go "total maniac".
But most people find it funny.

Hehe, okay I gotta know, do you search for and grab each special emoticon that's fit for the exact purpose that you currently need it for, or do you have like, a folder filled with these choice emoticons that you have collected for years, just knowing that the perfect opportunity to use them will arise one day?
Cause that's what I do with funny gifs

For these emoticons things I search and grab and sometimes search, grab, grab, grab. lol
Faved some but find it easier to search them up (my fave list is silly huge).
With funny GIF I do save some but mostly search them up as there is millions out there.
I not find how them work on DA and was some time since last time I tried post external GIF.
I asked my friend Google about this and said it has to be uploaded to DA first.
So I guess them block "active content" that not first uploaded to DA.
FB is a lot easier with this but FB is something entirely different.

Ahh now that's something I always wanted to learn, and it seems pretty handy for formatting your own comments to look more unique.
But yeh I've got tonnes of reaction gifs and meme gifs and that sort of thing, I'm not sure how often I use them, but looking through the folder of them is always good for a laugh
In that previous comment I actually tried to upload a gif to my DA Stash, and then insert it into the comment, but it wouldn't load unfortunately, in fact it's still there, it won't display a preview of the gif, and I can't seem to remove it now either

Well I just use some very few codes with html that I use some few times.

Forgot most of the other as it been like 15 years+ since I made web pages with html.
I have no clue how DA handles GIF in comments.
Been a while since I uploaded something here but seems strange you can't remove it.
Usually removing is the easiest thing....

The good news about the Gif is that it actually seems to have been uploaded, and is actually viewable, and even deletable in my DeviantArt Stash, I just can't seem to add it as media in a Comment
Not all html work on DA but the most simple ones does, like bold, italic, underline, line through text.
Also ASCII signs works, like these: β₯ β¦ β£ β β« βͺ
Maybe ask DA admin about how you post GIF? I got no clue.
