Working on a new draft of a map for the city of Tal’Lushan, the fictional city my fantasy webcomic Kohta the Samurai is currently set in.

It’s still a pretty early draft, really just a sketch that I coloured this evening, but I thought it looked good enough to share whilst I worked on a more detailed final map.

Cheers man, yeh I think it's important to have extra stuff like this when working on building a fantasy world so that it helps visualise the setting. It makes it seem more like a real place.

it's something I've done in the past... way back when I was reading Tolkein... and using a ball point pen... have not yet ventured into the world of phiotoshop map making as yet but after seeing your map... well... maybe just something for fun!

It is absurdly fun to make fantasy maps, designing your own worlds is very addictive

Well thanks dude, it's really just a quickly sketched map but I do have some experience in making maps so it wasn't too hard.

Can you transfer some of your skills over to me? I play a tabletop RPG called Pathfinder (which is like D&D only it doesn't mind being a little more 'adult') and as Game Master (GM) map making is an essential part.

Oh I'm familiar with Pathfinder, it's one of my favourite systems

Unfortunately I haven't perfect a skill transfer machine yet, but I did find these very cool looking tutorials for making fantasy maps on DA by this one guy,Β

Which looks like it would be really helpful in helping to make a kinda D&D or LotR style fantasy map.
