I am also using 8 head units Ratio for both adult genders. In artwork seems more realistic to me.
But still for me easiest way is to use Human Proportion Calculator I am using android App, it is called HPC
In internet there is also free online version

I most certainly hope so. It's kind of wierd, one day you look at your drawings, realize how styalized they really are and blink, while thinking "wait...do I have a style?!"

haha, i usually always make my female shoulders way to wide too. it took me a while to figure out how to fix that (mainly in figure drawing), but until that point i had to put up with everyone's taunting that all my females were football players. but what do they know?

I kept thinking it was 5 heads... well, that shows how much I know! Haha. Usually, I just look in my mirror when drawing girls, I'm very nicly shaped, besides these blasted hips! lol Yay super heros! XD

I would be, if I lost a few pounds. *shrug* But hey, right? A lot of cartoons are five heads big...Timmy turner is only two I think...

it depends on the age of the character for the number of heads, child are usually about 3 or so, teens would probably be 6 or 7, adults 7, and elderly people i'm guessing would be the same as a teen.
