I love the sand butterfly too, but I wish she would have made it a fish or something because butterflies tend to lend themselves more towards Pitch...but this isn't Pitch, so I find it a bit misleading. *shrug*

Yeah, the thing about him having no clothes, it's a 'dark' transformation that is supposed to leave the person both vulnerable and in fear. Clothes tend to give protection from the elements and from social faux pas (among other things) and so they also give comfort to people in this kind of circumstance. There's a reason why people who torture (or humiliate) will strip a person first. So it's to show his vulnerability.
Don't worry, though. You will never see any private bits in my comic, and he is not going to STAY naked. 
(I'm not a big fan of naked people running around myself).
