Description
This is a character design that I was going to enter into a contest a while back, but missed the deadline. *shrug* Made me sad, but it happens.I still like how she turned out.

Now here's a question, why does magic always spring up from the ground in a circular windy way? It's so standard that you don't normally think twice about it but it's interesting to think about. I suppose in this case, though, I should ask why did you choose that form in this character design?
I must admit I really like the details of the costume. I can tell you took your time in getting everything int here. The intricate patterns, while very typical of a mage, are very well done.
But some of the details don't directly transfer between your three views.
The hood and staff, I suppose it's more of scepter isn't it?, vaguely remind me of one of my favorite childhood characters. So was very interested in those. The detail given in the casting pose on the scepter is amazing.
I really like your style, it's so clean and you do an excellent job with the forms and folds of the clothing. All in all a very impressive character design.
One question, is she pigeon toed?

She is a bit pigeon toed, but is working to correct it. I know some things don't transfer over, but I'm not really worried about it now.

Well, the baby's doing well (I think they brought him home), but Tani had appendicitis on top of a c-section...yeah, she's in a lot of pain right now.

Yeah, I was really worried about her there for a while. That, and it's moving into winter, and they're still living in his parent's trailer.
