There are those who think that I’m strange
They would box me up, and tell me to change
But you hold me close and softly say
That you wouldn’t have me any other way

When people pin me as a clown

I remember when you were sad. You cried because you were called ‘ugly’ and ‘thin-thing’. Then I found you and asked what was wrong. You told me everything, how you wished you could change. How you could make everyone like you, but you couldn’t because you were ‘ugly’.

I leaned over and smiled. “Don’t ever change, Andromeda. You’re perfect to me.”

You lit up like a sun right after and we went to get some treats. It seemed like you forgot that you ever cried that day.
