Did you have a lens hood on when you shot it?
Lovely place!

Thanks a lot! Yes it is really amazing place.
You are absolutely a great photographer what I noticed in Your gallery.

If I compare with me - I am not a photographer at all, ha!

I had no a lens hood and technically this shot is not perfect but in my opinion is something magic on it...

Thanks for your nice words, but it doesn't matter if I'm good or not
I understand what you're saying... you like the mood the flare give to the picture, you've been there and it give you memories.
But for someone seeing the picture for the first time, given that it's a "landscape" the eye looks for details, and a flare can be distracting.
It's only a matter of taste, sometimes the flare adds a sort of artistic look to a photo, which complements it very well, other times it's only a distraction point, in fact the best lenses, technically try to eliminate it.
Anyways, what matters the most is that you like it, and it's still a nice photo

Oblivion90513 In reply to whitestone [2016-06-14 19:36:38 +0000 UTC]

I also think that in the artistic works, the most important is a good taste and author's intuition.
Do You know a joke about Giuseppe Verdi and his pupil?

On the big square in Milano musician played the mechanical instrument. The music was very famous: "Choir of slaves" from Nabucco by G. Verdi. Composer, who went to La Scala, stopped to listen and said musician that: "the tempo of performing is to fast. I know this piece well because I am a composer of that, I am G. Verdi."  Musician was very happy of such appointment and promised to play this music slower. Next day, Verdi on his way met the same musician. He played much worse and faster than before but had visible a big inscription: "I am a pupil of Gioseppe Verdi".

Thanks for a piece of advice, I hope to be a better pupil, ha!

If you wanna be a pupil then you'll have to be good, or you'll get some scoldings!

From Finland I remember the best salmon dish, which I ever ate and big blueberries.
You are right in Poland strawberries are the best. Just now full season I eat them everyday.

Where have you lived in Poland?

IoannisVas In reply to Oblivion90513 [2016-06-17 21:56:44 +0000 UTC]

Yeah salmon is abundant there!! But personally i find it a little bit heavy for my taste and too fat... I guess i got used to the Mediterranean seafood!! About strawberries i was amazed that they where so cheap and tasty!! ^^ here they are 4 euros a kilo in the best occasion T_T and the taste cant be compared of course!! I was living in Poznan, my wife has a home there!! I dont recall if i told u before that im married to a Polish woman I really love Poznan very much...!! Very beautifull city!! Im trying to come on every opportunity)

) cello is like violin but more bass? This is nice!! You could use it also for photography!! you could really make some great work this way!! So are you also playing in some band as well?!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Oblivion90513 In reply to IoannisVas [2016-07-03 08:20:22 +0000 UTC]

Yes, You are right! Violoncello is a kind of tenor-bass instrument, I have my cello photos... but so far didn't use. I play solo and in many music group configurations, also in the chamber orchestra.  Unfortunately, I have very little free time
But what about You? Your profession? I hope, I am not too curious

IoannisVas In reply to Oblivion90513 [2016-07-04 19:32:21 +0000 UTC]

My, you are really active i see!! thats really nice!! is there some records that i could listen to?!  Just thing about a photosession with the cello, should be very interesting!!
No worries, you aren't getting curious!! im an industrial worker in a aluminium production factory (in the domain of separating aluminium oxide from boxite... if you are familiar with those terms...!  )
Apart that, this is the 3rd year that we hold with my wife a tourism office that takes action in Corfu island! She is actually controling it and im helping with the paper work and law obligations. We are actually organising excursions on the island just for Polish people (for the time being)^^!! We are also planning soon to take advantage on my piloting skills, and add tandem flights with powered paraglide We are actually focusing very much on the tourism since we started our own business...!!

Do you like classical music?  This is my basic artistic activity. I have several CD's.
If you're interested (sample of them), please write to my notes, I will send you a link.
Yes, the cello is a nice photo's subject but so far my photos was taken by other photographers,ha!
I don't have deep chemical knowledge, but I think that your work is hard.
Of course tourism, specially in Greece is a great occupation, so I wish You fulfillment of all the impressive plans!!!

Actually i like many kinds of music, or better many songs from all kind of music!! I d like to hear your music, i ll send you a note then!! So if you have already pictures its good!! You dont have to be the photographer all the time!! Time to be the model too!! Well about my industrial work its partly hard... normally if all is functioning well, we dont i can finish all my obligations in maximum 2 hours of work... the rest 6 hours im just overseeing the machines ^^ Just the timetable is a bit tiring because im working in shifts, so somedays im working morning, some evening and some at night...Thank you very much for your wishes!! The best for you of course as well, for all domains of your life!!

Oblivion90513 In reply to IoannisVas [2016-07-07 20:14:50 +0000 UTC]

I hope, that You will not disappointed my music.   I remember from Greece that everywhere I could listen to folk Greek music, it was very nice. My music is totally different but also has some value.
Thanks for wishes,  I am busy much because of music, but art encourage me to develop myself, thanks to music also easier travel.

You have much life power (Strong man!) if beside hard work You can find time to fly, take pictures and lead touristic business.
I know this system of work, my father worked like You  but never during night.

IoannisVas In reply to Oblivion90513 [2016-07-08 02:25:51 +0000 UTC]

I saw your note and thanks for sending me the link^^ i will listen it tomorrow since right now im still at work!! well apart some specific songs im not very fond of Greek folkloric music... I think its tiring if you hear it for long in contrary with the classical which is relaxing!! And by the way i like very much Marek Grechuta!! thanks for your kind words and no doubt same goes to you to!! You are very active and creative so carry on this way Actually from all shifts i prefer to work at night... Much calmer and mkre time to think, plan and even study... For now flying is just a hobby but with potential for development, well the touristic office as i said before is almost totally controlled by my wife and im just helping and supporting her however i can.. .!! ^_^

Oblivion90513 In reply to IoannisVas [2016-07-08 21:14:05 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for nice words You too ^^ !
I noticed that, You are very kind and helpful person.
Work, study, even playing the instrument during night is absolutely impossible for me, so I am impressed if You can use this time well!   Yes, I played with chamber group music by Marek Grechuta followers (author died some years ago), quite popular - poetic songs. So, I know his music not only as listener also from the stage.
Unfortunately, I have not recorded any songs with cello, only as a member of
 the chamber orchestra.

IoannisVas In reply to Oblivion90513 [2016-07-10 13:29:19 +0000 UTC]

Thanks again!!^^
Work time depends on each person, so if i have free time then and must not sleep i kill my time with some work!!
Im aware of Grechuta's death... i think that i was in polland during the incident... He was a great tallent to my opinion!
I heard the songs btw!! they are really incredible, though the 2 first are a bit sad, but i think that the 2nd one is my favorite!

Thanks for fav , I am happy that You like it!

Marek Grechuta had car accident but it was not reason of his death. He suffered on neuralgia illness.
He was professional architect, lived in Kraków,  music and poetry interested him much. yes, great personality and unique talent.

Oblivion90513 In reply to IoannisVas [2016-07-13 21:43:48 +0000 UTC]

With his son was a very strange story.
His son was lost, just left the house and returned after eight months.
Marek Grechuta at this time suffered much and this situation deepened his health problems.
