When I watched the Mid-Season trailer for Star Wars Rebels on friday I couldn't had been more excited!
Ahsoka vs her former master finally happening made me jump to do this drawing. Ahsoka is one of my favorite characters from Star Wars and so is Anakin/Darth Vader from The Clone Wars and the original trilogy respectively. I think that one of the most climactic moments from The Clone Wars was when Ahsoka decided to leave the Jedi Order, that is why I decided to add that scene to this piece, adding more meaning to that one phrase in the trailer coming from Anakin. Why did you do this to my heart. Oh god. I thought I'd recovered from the gaping hole the clone wars left in my soul. I have not. T____T This is so beautiful that I'm dying. And something pretty obvious just occurred to me while I was admiring this painting. If you think about it: the prequels and the clone wars series are the stories of Anakin losing everything he loves slowly. His mom, Qui Gon, Ahsoka, the Jedi Order, Padme, and then finally Obi-Wan. No wonder Luke is the only one who could save him in the end. I'm sorry I went on that face palm rant, but this is one of my absolute favorite series, and Ahsoka leaving made me cry for like months because I knew what was coming. It's a beloved series to me. And this is now a beloved picture. Thank you!

Oh my god, this is some epicness right here. I promised myself, that I'd finish this series and this, is one of the big reasons why. Just the idea, of Ashoka and Vader fighting is fantastic. And great work, recreating that iconic scene.

When she said I won't leave you not this time I broke into tears, because she meant it. She loved Anakin like an older brother and wanted to try to save him even if Anakin was dead even to himself she still had faith in Anakin and just as Padme said " There's good in him I know there's still...."

A tragic end to a part of this tale of Star Wars. Master vs. the apprentice. Basically the older brother fighting the younger sister. So sad. ( outstanding job!)

I really hope the music from when Obi wan and Anakin fought on Mustafar plays when Ashoka and Vader fight in Rebels, or something that is just as epic sounding. This has been built up since the start of Clone Wars back in 2008 and now it's finally coming to a head. It just needs to be so freaking epic. By the way great picture!

In a fight between these two, I'd say Vader would be victorious because he taught Ahsoka everything she knows. Dave Filoni said it himself that Vader could defeat Ahsoka.
