I'm really not happy with this. It's quite boring. D: I can't seem to figure out how to make a picture interesting. Like, background wise, coloring wise, etc etc. If anyone has any advice or knows of tutorials please tell me.But anyway, this is Sister Grimm from Runaways. She's awesome.

You've probably long since moved on from this, but I agree with the suggestion above, that you need more contrast. Nothing too jarring or eyecatching, like a red, but something softer, more neutral, that lets Nico stand out more.
Even as it is, I love it. A great piece of art for one of my favourite characters!

I think the only thing that may be missing is contrasts. You've used the same tone of colors, and the shadows aren't very marked. Also, the clothes are a little uniform.
