Orange Diamond (inspired by Skywynne Butterfly) was once part of a fusion known as Black Diamond. One day this fusion split to her components Orange and Blue Diamond. Both were created by a White Diamond on a unknown Magic World.
Together Orange and Blue settled on a Monster Base and banished the population.
Orange became responsible for gem creation, but when a resistance formed her Diamond creation vanished. Ruling Mewniworld on her own was too demanding a task and stretched her powers too thin.
This forced Orange to create "fake" Diamonds-- organic beings with gem powers. The process was full of many failures. Eventually she succeeded in her efforts.
Today Magenta and Rose Diamond rule along side Orange, who isolates herself in her Hourglass.
