Description
As you will see in my gallery, originally Racket was based on a plum faced parakeet... but she did not feel right as a character I wanted to use in art exchanges especially as Cotingaa is so colourful herself. So I had a little think and decided to base Racket on the Gang-Gang cockatoo, one of my favourite birds. Gang Gangs are not quite as bright or colourful but certainly full of character and caught the feel I was going for. I changed the original drawing and made her more stocky and I am much more happy with the outcome.Related content

Prety awesome gryphon! Was this drawn with a tablet from scratch or inked, scanned, then colored? Kinda curious how other gryphons make thier feathery mark out there.

Very nice! I think GangGangs are so beutiful. I own a Bare-eyed 'too myself...the less "pretty" 'Toos are the prettiest I think!

Seriously? Lovely! you do not get many peeps with bare eye 'toos - you are right, people think they are less attractive than other 'toos (cept me, I am a sucker for the less "normal" birds) though bare eyes are a lot more stable than the supher and his kin

Beautiful! These are, believe it or not, my school colors.
There appears to be some smudges outside the lines on her headfeathers - not sure if this was intentional, but the rest of the image seems pretty clean.
