Love the poses here, but especially love the coloring. You captured Arthur's typical shirt color so well. And the light casting its glow on Merlin's shirt is awesome.

I just adore this piece! I can so easily feel the light touch of Arthurs hand or the slight heat from the candle. The colors feel so alive. It's a wonderful piece of art.

Thank you so much for sharing that song. I know the song, but I wasn't really aware of the lyrics. Now that you've copied them they fit so well with the painting, it's lovely.

This is absolutely breathtaking. The shadows you've done are amazing! And I can't get over the likeness! It's incredible how perfect you captured their faces. I love it! I hope you do more for this pairing!

Ah, more awesome lighting in dark places going on. And I really like how the colouring just fades into the dark background from around the bottom of the character chests and down.
And it actually looks like Arthur is touching Merlin's cheek here. That's always a problem I seem to have. Perhaps it's in the positioning of the thumb you've got here. Whatever it is, works for me.

I know what you mean, if you are trying to "create" a moment where two characters touch each other it's really very hard to make it look real. I'm so glad you thought this worked.
