               As we pass in the hallways, will you look at me, slowly falling in love with my far away smile? Will you change your route to your classes, just to maybe "accidently" bump into me, sending my books flying? Will you knee down, carefully pick up the escaped books and papers, hand them to me, just so our hands barely touch, but enough to send lightning cascading through my veins? Will you wait for me after school, timing your steps to match just perfectly with mine? Will you stumble through your words, making my whole day when your smile seeps into your forest green eyes, knotting my stomach in a trillion twists and corkscrews? Will you pause by my locker, ask to carry my books, and when I refuse, take them anyway, so all I can do is follow along? And when you take me out on that first date, will you trace constellations with me?

                     What makes your heart beat faster?
Is it the sound of thunder charging away in the distance? Or could it possibly be the sound of trains speeding past on a tight schedule? Sometimes when your eyes catch mine, I'm thrown into a world full of possibilities, a world I can not touch. Walls surround your heart, pushing me aside. All I see are scattered puzzle pieces, with two attached in the center. There are so many details I need to know about you and all I have are two. But I'm going to make it my goal to figure out the rest.
